Zoho: What's the Difference?

Several years ago when I started freelancing, I knew there would be challenges to overcome: working with a variety of company cultures, project management, preferences and requirements, etc.

What I didn’t realize would be a frequent obstacle was learning to work with each company’s platforms. From Salesforce to HubSpot to MailChimp to Constant Contact to Zoho to Wordpress to Squarespace…. There’s no limit to the options for companies of any size.

Through working with each of the platforms, I’ve become familiar with their advantages and benefits, as well as their shortcomings and quirks. Every marketer will develop their own preferences based on their needs, here’s mine:

When clients ask me for a platform recommendation, my answer is Zoho and here's why ...

  1. Zoho is pre-integrated. My CRM, analytics, email campaigns, social media scheduling and listening, and website all talk to each other. Why? They’re built to work together. I can’t tell you the amount of hours I’ve spent on the phone with IT trying to troubleshoot a broken bridge between 2 platforms that - in the perfect circumstance - should talk to each other. Any need I could have as a marketer (or a business owner) is available through Zoho, which also saves the client time and money.

  2. Zoho is extremely intuitive and user-friendly. When I am creating and managing content, the last thing I want holding me back is a clunky platform. My experience using Zoho has been very straight-forward and simple to navigate, even during the on-boarding process.

  3. Zoho is cost-effective. Because Zoho has a built-in platform for any and all business solutions, it is less expensive. Zoho One allows you to customize your experience, so you are only paying for the services you actually want and need. I have a vested interest in saving my clients money, which is why I recommend Zoho!

What have been your experiences with marketing platforms and CRM? I would love to hear if you’ve made the switch to Zoho and how it’s improved your processes.
